Fast Track Premium
Fast Track at Marrakech Menara airport
Marrakech Menara Airport is 6.9 km from the city centre by road, 15 to 20 minutes by car. It handled a record 10.2 million passengers in 2025, although its current terminals are sized for about 7.4 million a year, according to the airport operator. When several European flights land within the same slot, passport control becomes the main bottleneck. From the moment you step off the aircraft, an agent holding a sign with your name looks after you and guides you through the formalities until you leave the terminal.

RAK · Marrakech Menara
Good to know about Marrakech Menara Airport.
Marrakech Menara is Morocco's second airport, with 28% of the country's air traffic in 2025, behind Casablanca Mohammed V Airport. During summer 2026 it handled more than 30,000 passengers in a single day. To keep pace, Airports of Morocco (the new name of ONDA since 2025) has begun extending and refurbishing Terminals 1 and 2: around 142,000 m² and capacity raised to 16 million passengers a year, with the 2030 World Cup as the target. In March 2026 the airport was named Best Regional Airport in Africa at the Skytrax World Airport Awards.
Most passengers are leisure travellers from Europe: around forty airlines link Marrakech with more than a hundred destinations, and France remains the largest market, ahead of Spain and the United Kingdom. Since October 2025, Delta has also flown non-stop to Atlanta.
On arrival there is no landing card to fill in: Morocco abolished it at its airports in 2019. For departures, the scanners and walk-through detectors at the terminal entrances were removed in March 2025, which took away one queue before check-in. Finally, drones may not be brought into Morocco without prior authorisation: any drone found at customs is confiscated.

Frequently asked questions
Questions about Fast Track at Marrakech Menara.
01How far is Marrakech airport from the city centre?
The airport is 6.9 km from the centre by road, 15 to 20 minutes by car when traffic is light. Journeys to the Palmeraie, Agafay or Essaouira take longer. If you have booked a private transfer as well as Fast Track, your agent calls the chauffeur once formalities are complete.
02Why can passport control take a long time in Marrakech?
Traffic passed 10 million passengers in 2025, in terminals designed for about 7.4 million, while the extension is under way. European flights often arrive in waves, with several aircraft reaching passport control within the same slot. With Fast Track, you go through these steps with an agent, who waits for you as you leave the aircraft, holding a sign with your name, and stays with you through to customs.
03Do I need to fill in a form on arrival at Marrakech airport?
No. The police landing card was abolished on 16 September 2019, for arrivals and departures, at all Moroccan airports. According to UK government advice, British visitors need a passport expiring at least three months after their arrival date and can stay up to 90 days without a visa. Other nationalities should check with the Moroccan consulate whether a visa or electronic travel authorisation is required.
