# Arriving at Marrakech airport with children: fast track for families

The average wait at passport control in Marrakech is short (6.86 minutes on arrival in the first half of 2026, according to Airports of Morocco), but arriving with children is still long: the walk from the aircraft, often without the pushchair, the queue when several flights land together, the bags, customs, then finding a driver. An escorted fast track does not shorten any formality; it gives you one more adult who knows the way, from the aircraft door to a car seat that is already fitted.

**The price first.** Fast Track Premium: **200 EUR** per adult (13 and over), **100 EUR** per child aged 2 to 12, **free** under 2, the same at all six of our airports. Private transfer: from **45 EUR per vehicle** from the airport to the Medina, Gueliz or Hivernage, with a baby seat provided and fitted at no extra cost. Book at least 48 hours before the flight. ## What is actually hard with children on arrival

The official figure is reassuring. On 28 July 2026, Airports of Morocco (the new name of ONDA, the national airports authority) published average passport control times for the first half of the year: 6.86 minutes on arrival at Marrakech Menara. But a six-month average says nothing about the half-term Saturday when three European flights reach the hall within the same half hour. Marrakech Menara handled 10.2 million passengers in 2025, in terminals designed for about 7.4 million according to the operator.

With children, the minutes matter less than the moments when nobody has a free hand:

- **The walk without a pushchair.** Every airline has its own rule. With easyJet, for example, a pushchair kept until the boarding gate goes into the hold and comes back in the baggage reclaim area at your destination. In other words, between the aircraft and passport control, your child walks or is carried. Check your airline's rule before you fly.
- **The queue.** A three-year-old does not wait well standing up, least of all at the end of a flight, when several aircraft are unloading at once.
- **Bags and customs.** One adult watches the belt, the other watches the children. Then everyone has to clear customs together.
- **The arrivals hall.** This is where you find your driver, or bargain for a taxi, with tired children and no guarantee of a car seat.

You cannot know in advance whether your flight will land in a quiet slot. A free hint: the day before, look at the airport's arrivals board. The busiest dates of the year (Christmas, February half term, Easter and summer) are set out in our guide to [the busiest dates at Marrakech airport in 2026-27](https://www.tmcconciergerie.com/en/blog/marrakech-airport-busiest-dates-2026-2027/).

## What fast track costs for a family

Fast Track Premium is priced per passenger, on arrival or on departure. Children aged 2 to 12 pay half the adult rate; babies under 2 travel free. A few common family set-ups, arrival only:

| Family | Calculation | Fast Track on arrival |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Two adults and a 10-month-old baby | 2 × 200 + 0 | 400 EUR |
| Two adults, a 4-year-old and a baby | 2 × 200 + 100 + 0 | 500 EUR |
| Two adults and three children aged 3, 7 and 11 | 2 × 200 + 3 × 100 | 700 EUR |
| Two grandparents, two parents, two children aged 6 and 9 | 4 × 200 + 2 × 100 | 1,000 EUR |

Watch the ages: from 13, a child counts as an adult. The transfer is added once, per vehicle, not per person: from 45 EUR from the airport to the Medina, Gueliz or Hivernage. The exact price to your address appears on the Book page before you pay, all taxes included, and does not change on the day. On the English site you can display pounds or dollars for reference; payment is always taken in euros.

Fast Track on departure is a separate booking, with its own flight number, at the same price. Free cancellation more than 7 days before the flight; after that, 50% of the price up to 72 hours before, then 100%.

For a family landing midweek on a flight with the hall to itself, the amount is debatable. For the same family on the first Saturday of the school holidays, it buys an extra adult and a planned way out.

## From the aircraft door to the car seat

This is how arrival works when you choose "Both" (meet and greet plus driver) on the Book page:

1. **Before you land**, you receive your agent's name and the meeting point in writing. Your flight is tracked: the actual landing time counts, with no surcharge if you are delayed.
2. **As you leave the aircraft**, the agent is waiting with a sign in the booking name and takes charge of the whole family.
3. **At passport control**, the agent takes you to the checks and directs you to the priority lane when it is open. You hand over the passports yourself, the children's included.
4. **At customs**, the agent stays with you.
5. **In the arrivals hall**, the agent hands you over to your driver, whom they have alerted directly, even if your flight is late.

Children, pushchairs: the agent guides your family through every step of the airport. What the service does not do: it does not remove any formality and does not guarantee any processing time, because the priority lane depends on the airport and the hour.

In the car, the baby seat is provided and fitted at no extra cost: on the Book page, count your baby among the travellers and the baby seat box appears already ticked. Give each child's age in the message. Luggage is loaded and unloaded as part of the transfer.

Vehicle size matters too: the minivan takes up to 7 travellers, the Mercedes V-Class up to 5, the minibus 8 to 16. The price is the same for one traveller or seven, within the vehicle's capacity. Prices to the Palmeraie, Agafay, the Ourika valley or Essaouira are on our page for [private transfers from Marrakech airport](https://www.tmcconciergerie.com/en/marrakech-airport-transfer/).

Staying in a riad in the Medina? Much of the old town is closed to cars. The driver drops you at the nearest point a car can reach and shows you the way. Tell your riad when you will arrive: most send someone to help with the bags.

## Children's documents

Children go through the same checks as adults, and fast track changes nothing about that. What the official sources say, on the Moroccan side:

- **A passport for every child.** The French foreign ministry's travel advice for Morocco (updated 15 September 2026) states that minors must hold a valid passport, and recommends that a child travelling with their parents carries proof of parentage, such as a copy of the birth certificate.
- **Travelling with grandparents or another adult.** According to the same advice, a minor travelling alone or with a third party must carry an authorisation from their parents bearing their certified signatures.
- **Divorced parents.** The accompanying parent is advised to carry a copy of the court decision granting custody.

Your own country may also have exit rules for children travelling without a parent; check them before booking. The wider list of entry formalities is in our guide [Arriving in Morocco by air: formalities, checks and Fast Track](https://www.tmcconciergerie.com/en/blog/arriving-in-morocco-by-air-formalities-fast-track/#mineurs). Families of other nationalities should check with the Moroccan consulate.

**No, fast track is free for children under 2.** From 2 to 12 it costs 100 EUR, half the adult rate; from 13, 200 EUR.

### Do the children go through passport control with us?

**Yes, the whole family goes through together, and each child shows their own passport.** The agent directs you to the priority lane when it is open; no formality is skipped.
