# Is fast track at Marrakech airport worth it?

Fast track at Marrakech is worth it if you are travelling with young children, an elderly relative or someone with reduced mobility, a same-day meeting or a group, especially when your flight lands at the same time as other European flights. It is not worth it if you are travelling alone, light, with no time pressure, on a flight that lands in a quiet slot: the official average wait at arrival passport control in Marrakech was 6.86 minutes in the first half of 2026.

Our Fast Track Premium: **200 EUR** per adult, **100 EUR** aged 2 to 12, **free** under 2. Arrival and departure are booked separately, at least 48 hours before the flight. ## What fast track actually changes

Our Fast Track Premium is a VIP welcome and escort service, what others call meet and greet. On arrival at Marrakech Menara, it works like this:

- Before you land, you receive your agent's name and the meeting point in writing.
- As you step off the aircraft, the agent is waiting with a sign bearing your name.
- The agent takes you to passport control and guides you to the priority lane when it is open. You present your own documents.
- The agent stays with you through customs.
- You are handed over to your chauffeur, whom the agent has alerted, or escorted to the exit.

On departure, the agent meets you at the drop-off point and stays with you through check-in, security and passport control, up to the departure lounge.

What it does not change:

- It removes no formality. Border police and customs are state checks; nobody can exempt you from them.
- It guarantees no processing time. The priority lane depends on the airport and the time of day.
- It does not replace your airline's check-in deadline.

In short, you are buying predictability and company, not a way around the rules.

## The official figures, and what they leave out

On 28 July 2026, Airports of Morocco (the operator formerly known as ONDA) published average passport control times for the first half of 2026. At Marrakech Menara: 6.86 minutes on arrival, down 16% year on year, and 5.09 minutes on departure. The national arrival average is 9.6 minutes.

Those are good numbers. But they are six-month averages that blend quiet hours with busy ones, and they exclude baggage reclaim and customs. They do not tell you what happens when several aircraft reach passport control in the same slot. Marrakech Menara handled 10.2 million passengers in 2025, in terminals designed for about 7.4 million according to the operator, while an extension is under way.

You cannot know in advance whether your flight will land in a quiet slot or a busy one. A free clue: the day before, look at the airport's arrivals board. If several international flights are due within the same half hour as yours, expect a longer queue than the average.

## When fast track is worth it

This grid crosses who you are with how busy your landing slot is likely to be.

| Your situation | Your flight lands alone, quiet slot | Several flights in the same slot |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Family with children under 12, pushchair | useful (an extra adult who knows the way) | worth it |
| Traveller aged 70+, or with reduced mobility | worth it | worth it |
| Business meeting the same day | useful | worth it |
| First trip to Morocco, no French or Arabic | useful | worth it |
| Group (wedding, corporate event, friends) | useful to keep everyone together | worth it |
| Late arrival after a long day | useful | worth it |
| Solo or couple, cabin bag, no time pressure | not needed | your call |

Why these profiles:

- Families. With two tired children and luggage, the issue is not only the queue: it is having one more adult who knows where to go, from the aircraft corridor to the car. Infants under 2 travel free.
- Older travellers and reduced mobility. Walking distances, standing and finding your way in a crowded terminal matter more than minutes. Tell us what you need when you book, and we confirm availability before your flight. A wheelchair is requested from your airline.
- Business travel. When a meeting follows landing, what counts is the gap between the best and the worst case, not the average. An agent who has already alerted your driver saves the minutes spent looking for each other outside.
- Groups. One agent holding a sign and gathering everyone avoids losing people between the baggage belts and the arrivals hall.

## When it is not worth it

Many travellers do not need fast track.

- You are travelling alone or as a couple, with a cabin bag and no schedule to keep.
- Your flight is the only one landing in its slot.
- You know Marrakech airport already and a taxi or a simple transfer is enough.
- You only want the priority lane: plain fast track products exist for less than ours, without the end-to-end escort. Our Marrakech airport fast track price page sets out the three types of offer and what each one covers.
- You are booking within 48 hours of the flight: we cannot take you, as airport access procedures do not allow it.

Departure is a weaker case: the average wait at passport control was 5.09 minutes in Marrakech in the first half of 2026. Departure Fast Track is mostly for travellers who want an escort from the drop-off to the departure lounge: families, older travellers, groups.

## Fast track alone, or with a transfer

Fast track ends at the terminal exit. What comes next matters just as much: finding your driver, or haggling for a taxi, with children and suitcases.

If you choose "Both" on the Book page, the agent alerts the chauffeur directly, even if your flight is late, and hands you over. Your flight is tracked: the actual landing time counts, at no extra charge. The transfer is priced per vehicle, for the whole group, from 45 EUR from the airport to the Medina, Gueliz or Hivernage. In the Medina, the chauffeur drops you at the drivable point closest to your riad.

Prices to the Palmeraie, Agafay or Essaouira, and the vehicles available, are on our [Marrakech airport transfer](https://www.tmcconciergerie.com/en/marrakech-airport-transfer/) page.

## What it costs a family of four

Take two adults and two children aged 5 and 9, arriving in Marrakech and staying in a Medina riad.

| Item | Calculation | Amount |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Fast Track on arrival, adults | 2 × 200 EUR | 400 EUR |
| Fast Track on arrival, children aged 2 to 12 | 2 × 100 EUR | 200 EUR |
| Transfer, airport → Medina | per vehicle | from 45 EUR |
| Arrival total | | from 645 EUR |

With an infant under 2 instead of one of the children, Fast Track drops to 500 EUR. Departure Fast Track is booked separately, with its own flight number, at the same price: another 600 EUR for the same family. The exact total appears on the Book page before you pay, all taxes included, and does not change at the airport. Prices are charged in euros; pound and dollar amounts on our English site are indicative. Free cancellation more than 7 days before the flight.

That is real money. For a family landing alone in a quiet slot, it is debatable. For the same family on a holiday Saturday, with several European flights arriving together, it buys an extra adult and a planned exit.
