# Landing in Casablanca, heading to Marrakech: connection, train or private chauffeur

Once you land at Casablanca Mohammed V, there are three ways to reach Marrakech: a domestic flight, the train via Casa-Voyageurs, or a private transfer with chauffeur, from 258 EUR per vehicle for the 227 km and 2 h 39 of driving to central Marrakech. **Price first.** Fast Track Premium at Casablanca: 200 EUR per adult (13 and over), 100 EUR per child aged 2 to 12, free under 2. Private transfer from Mohammed V airport to Marrakech: from 258 EUR per vehicle, for the whole party. Book at least 48 hours before your flight.

## Arriving at Mohammed V: the stages

Mohammed V, Morocco's busiest airport with more than 11 million passengers in 2025, has two main terminals. Terminal 1 serves Royal Air Maroc and its partners; the airline moved both its international and domestic flights there in 2019. Terminal 2 serves the other international airlines. Since June 2023, arriving passengers from both terminals go through a shared passport control area with 47 desks.

1. **Passport control.** In the first half of 2026 it took 5.4 minutes on average on arrival at Mohammed V, down from almost 12 minutes a year earlier, according to Airports of Morocco. Since March 2025, the second passport check after the entry stamp has been replaced by automatic gates. Check that your passport has been stamped.
2. **Baggage, then customs.**
3. **Exit** to the public arrivals hall, where the three options below begin.

An average of 5.4 minutes is good news. It covers six months of quiet hours and arrival waves together, and only passport control. On 11 March 2024, Moroccan news site Le360 reported one traveller who had waited 55 minutes in the airport's paid priority lane, more than two years before the 2026 averages. A priority lane is not a guaranteed time, and we do not guarantee one either.

## Option 1: a domestic flight to Marrakech

If your ticket includes a domestic flight from Casablanca to Marrakech, the connection itself (minimum connection time, whether bags are checked through, terminal, formalities) is organised by your airline and the airport. The conditions are on your ticket or in the airline's confirmation, and the airline is the one to ask. For a domestic departure from Mohammed V, the operator recommends checking in 2 hours before the flight.

## Option 2: the train via Casa-Voyageurs

The railway station is underneath Terminal 1. ONCF's Al Bidaoui regional trains reach Casa-Voyageurs in about thirty minutes. There you change trains: according to ONCF's "Marrakech-Fès" timetable, in force since 14 September 2026, Casa-Voyageurs to Marrakech takes about 2 h 55.

Compare it door to door. Add the wait for the airport train, the change at Casa-Voyageurs, then the ride from Marrakech station to your address. Tickets are priced per traveller and shown on ONCF's booking site. With large suitcases, young children or after an overnight flight, two trains and two stations weigh more than they do on paper.

## Option 3: by road, with a private chauffeur

From Mohammed V airport to Marrakech it is 227 km to the city centre and 2 h 39 of calculated driving, without stops or traffic. The airport has its own junction on the A3 Casablanca-Marrakech motorway, south of Casablanca, so the car does not cross the city. Your chauffeur waits at the terminal exit with a sign bearing your name, timed to the actual landing, and drives you to your hotel, riad or villa.

## Fast Track at Mohammed V: what the agent does

Off the aircraft, at Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, the agent is waiting with a sign bearing the booking name. They take you to passport control and to the priority lane when it is open, stay with you through customs, then hand you over to the chauffeur, having called ahead. The flight is tracked: if it is late, both adjust to the actual landing time at no extra charge.

Fast Track does not remove any formality and guarantees no clearance time. ## Train, plane or car: which one

- **The domestic flight** makes sense if it is already on your ticket, with bags checked through to Marrakech under your airline's conditions.
- **The train** suits a light traveller, alone or as a couple, who does not mind changing at Casa-Voyageurs.
- **The car with chauffeur** suits families, groups of up to 16 in a single vehicle, late arrivals and addresses away from the stations, such as the Palmeraie or Agafay. Shared by seven in a minivan, the transfer works out at about 37 EUR each.
